Apples are eaten everywhere. I have eaten them in The Southern Hemisphere as well The Northern Hemisphere. The sweet crunch is so delicately different from tree to tree. No wonder it is such a popular ingredient in pies, cakes and other desserts.
I have actually eaten Tarte Tatin in France. One has to, when there. I have also enjoyed English Apple Pies in England. So different, yet the ingredients are not too different. Especially here the difference is really felt, as I have used Muscovado sugar:
